That's something that has never made sense to me. You've got options through connections to fast track your financials and instead jump onto a ship with an unknown captain. Think for a minute, who has your best interest in mind? If you've gotten a job with Spangler or Tiger.... your totally fucked.

The option to join the union and work towards your certificates was the correct move in this play my friend. At one time I worked for non union HVAC companies in Illinois just like your about to. Hopefully next time you take my advice
