Because it's a nation and a dream they believe in, at its core
I tried to go to the US and gave up after looking at the visas
and I have a Master's degree in IT
It's micro level high agreeableness scaled up to a national level
People are just letting their county get taken advantage of
I kinda wanted to get back to Tim's video though. He totally missed the mark on what was being discussed
There has to be a firm "no" or the mob will come in and say it much more forcefully
I think Youtube is recommending me videos that 'refute' the videos I've watched. I watched a Sargon video that referenced the proposed 'upskirting' law and now there's a video from the BBC called "The Truth about Upskirting", and after watching Tim's video cheekily calling single young men losers, there's a video saying it's OK for millenials to stay single.
Oh the diversity thing? Well in the states part of the problem is that they don't really have an official language. The only catch is their immigration process basically does
the diversity thing isn't related to immigration
I'm not at all surprised by this, @Atkins . Google has done this shit for years
He explicitly mentioned speaking a different language, which is what I was commenting on
there's different types of Diversity
it's not a "different language" to be specific on what's being talked about
No, it's one of the factors
For that video I think Tim just seized on the word "diversity" and ran with his own stuff and didn't address Tucker's claim.
And the different factors are caused by different issues
Diversity isn't a Strength, only Diversity of Thought is
There's no federally recognized official language, so the only incentive to speak English is that enough other people speak it, and clearly that isn't the case. There's also the fact that this further disincentivizes integration. I could stay where I'm at where they speak my language, or in could learn a whole 'nother language to fit in over here
This is just one of many factors that go into assimilation, cultural cohesiveness etc
Right but how do you fix that?
Without a universal translator you need to get people communicating in a common language and then integrate them.
here in quebec theres an election soon an dthe seperatist party want to introduce a law that mandate that english speakers that go to the college system here have to do a full semester in french
i am very conflicted
>living in Quebec
Found the problem
because if youre a migrant comign in i understand them wanting the education to pertain to the language used there
Canada should just drop both English and French and take up some African language.
XD yeah theres english places here
Then no one can be happy!
like extra generationsa
and i love it here
Okay, but the US doesn't have an official language, so on what basis are you going to fix that shit?
@Malt_Hitman Canada is more likely to adopt Mandarin.
^^^
I think being able to communicate is important, but I don't think it's a deal breaker. Likewise, you could tell me in english why you are about to kill me and I wouldn't feel all that great that you can speak my language.
and im anglophone so i fucking hate teh divisive language laws bullshit
that's probably gonna change though, at least for the real estate folks
Are there that many chinamen in Canada?
Not as a whole, but look up Richmond BC
tbh i know more asians than black ppl
