i'm pretty sure it was just the way my mom raised me, and i don't resent her for it or anything, but i feel like me having an innate tendency to give up easily and ask for help way too quickly was a result of my mom being *probably* a little over helpful when i was in high school

and when you only really have one parent to lean on, its a lot to handle on both ends of that relationship

the longer i work jobs though the more i notice that tendency lessens
