Canada ought to just break up. They had a good run.
"what do you mean native issues cant be solved in an hour?" -Drama Teacher in Office
(by which I mean the ones which were here before the french and the British)
we just need to boot the cucks
I sure am glad the federal government spent taxpayer dollars on a pipeline and chased away private enterprise
tbh it's easier to fix Canada than the US, primarily because there's almost no roadblocks
Just like when they bailed out Bombardier
@Beemann I mean, if you're going to think of first nations issues as simple, you should at least have a simple solution... like abolishing them, or giving them proper sovereignty, or insisting they behave like our other trading partners.
the only issue is voter apathy, and while it's a big issue, if a commie can get votes in America, non brainlets can get votes in Canada
lol he just got flustered tho
because the cons were right, he wasnt ready for leadership
I don't think he was ready for birth
also the issue with natives is that we constitutionally codified the fucked up stuff
so like you cant get rid of the res, even though it's one of the biggest problems
At least his father could give you a meandering just-so justification for his lunatic ravings
his father wrote the fucked constitution
megafucked constitution
>doesnt protect free speech
>does protect the res
I wonder if theres the possibility of just voting in a do-over of the constitution
we honestly need more patriotism either way though
a constitution is held up by the people, not laws
Doesn't the constitution protect "respect"?
something stupid like that probably
I should probably go through it to find it. I remember hearing it somewhere and thought it was insane
It also protects being spoken to in french
erh, rather, it protects not being subject to orders given to you in English
fwiw
first nations got the shit end of the stick
but our greatest crime is not treating them like real _Nations_.
actually first nations have some of the only rights in that constitution
everything else is limited in some way and can be voted out
yeah
I was just talking yesterday with somebody
and they tell me that the Ontario Ministry of Health broke the law by assuming custody of lab results, which were previously legally in custody of the ordering physician
then when people complained, they drafted an amendment to their own governing legislation *to retroactively enable their unlawful act*, and it passed in (provincial) parliament immediately.
yup
basically all the "rights" we have are "except when we say nah"
The Ministry of Health in Ontario could literally wake up tomorrow, and request the forensic and non-forensic mental health records of every user of health services in Ontario, including non-Ontarians, and just pass it directly over to the police, or to a political party.
If it were illegal, they could write the enabling legislation in a way which is vague enough to pass reading in parliament
