What's the cheapest yet most effective handguards on the market? Unfortunately my handguard budget is below $120....for a carbine length

Your best best, might be the weird looking Magpul handguards. But best to go with one that has m-lok slots
I've been looking on the cheaper sites for that, like cheaper than dirt and PSA. If I get lucky on of their deal will be a good handguard

They have some ok stuff....like hogue, they make some funky looking handguards
So, keymod slots are disgusting and not that great. M-lok though kinda hard to install stuff, is the most solid aside from quad rail, but then you'll be paying more, and have more weight

Im a quad rail kinda guy because you can get cheap aluminum drop ins off ebay and they are damn near impervious to everything
I was looking at the picatinny on the top and mlok on the sides but things change, I was holding hopes for 15" but i guess it's time to cut shorter. I was wanting the handguard to behave as a kind of shield for the barrel.
I want one. But I don't like adding weight at the front
