The CMO is explaining herd immunities role in the epidemic and he's been quoted to make it look like infection is a strategy.
Even those that get by w/"mild" symptoms classified under WHO, those ppl have pneumonia. As can be seen from chest CT scans, some have severe lung dmg, reducing lung capacity by 20-30%. We have no idea if it is permanent or if it can even be healed over time.
They never bothered using the containment strategy and skipped right to LETS INFECT EVERYONE FOR HERD IMMUNITY

Yeah, herd immunity is a strategy using vaccines, which no one has, and total infection rate might never reach 60%. The whole narrative is political mud slinging.

We will use herd immunity when vaccines are available, it prevents community transmission very effectively. But supplies are the biggest issue, for testing as well.

Herd immunity works with vaccines. We don't have it. The other assumption is that there won't be any mutation as they let the infection spread like wildfire. Nullifying any immunity built prior to a new strain
UK plan is funnel resources as need arises, monitoring international travel and promoting individual responsibility to quarantine with medical intervention in serious cases.
