My theory: Most Americans HATE confrontation. They will not engage the Libs, but they will vote in mass, that is how they push back. Dems in for a rude awakening. Remember 538 "Hillary 96% chance of winning", it's Hillary all over again.
I'm not saying It's impossible he wins, but it would be news to me if he's still plugging for votes.
id be willing to bet that he unexpectedly wins and goes "well, I wasnt running but the people have spoken"
It would be interesting.
You might be right.
cortez is a huge fuck up for dems
>Americans hate confrontation
News to me
NY is all sorts of machine politics.
Cynthia nixon lost the 14th by 30 points
Democratic party is committing suicide
huge failure
and my god cortez is as dumb as a box of rocks
We shall see.
she said 200M people make less than 20k per year
jsf
thats the entire US labor force
Cortez, "the unemployment rate is so high becuase everyone is working two jobs."
and they will believe her too
We shall see, stranger things have happened.
He hasn't been terribly public by any means.
US labor force is 150M
She might've been close if she said something like "200M people live paycheck to paycheck"
Yeah, Ocasio-Cortez is a social media type. Not really into verifying facts, but will repeat numbers for shock value.
200m people making less than 20k a year is a strawman
Cortez will be President of California when they secede, now that would be hilarious
And technically its 100% true
That figure counts college students and anyone under 16 who doesnt wotk
<:TimThink:482277772497125378>
seeriously the 14th is fucked
@Cody No, you absolutely do matter. Suppose you get enough people to vote to chip into the vote margin and they have to account for that when they do redistricting and it opens up an opening somewhere else.
Just vote. It takes only a couple minutes. And it's more than sitting on Discord whining.
and NJ might go red
I'm registered already, just dont feel like actually voting will change anything
i know a few people who arent voting in NJ becuase they think its guna be blue no amtter what
this could be a bloodbath
Yeah, I'm still surprised a bit by NJ, but that might be a special case like in Alabama.
id be willing to bet that if dems win the house the economy will tank
I think that's happening anyways.
its happoening becuase of uncertainty
