we can execute Luci too

2020-03-22 17:20:33 UTC

Quit and go to a different corporation if you don't like it

2020-03-22 17:20:35 UTC

we have decent labour laws

2020-03-22 17:20:36 UTC

Nobody does

2020-03-22 17:20:46 UTC

Hmmm maybe they should

2020-03-22 17:20:51 UTC

instead of relying on the force of unions

2020-03-22 17:20:56 UTC

Or, have unions, and fuck the company up if they misbehave

2020-03-22 17:20:58 UTC

@Lucienne d'Anwyl When your former employer badmouths you out of spite to your next potential employer?

2020-03-22 17:21:00 UTC

Besides being money grubbing dicks

2020-03-22 17:21:01 UTC

Weird how personal responsibility works like that

2020-03-22 17:21:01 UTC

and yeah hr is for the employer here

2020-03-22 17:21:08 UTC

Unions are also known for being violent

2020-03-22 17:21:12 UTC

they dont help the workers at all

2020-03-22 17:21:18 UTC

Towards scabs and and anti union workers

2020-03-22 17:21:33 UTC

Yeah how is my local grocery bagger's union benefiting from their dues

2020-03-22 17:21:45 UTC

Just a vestigial organ at this point that anyone who signs up for the job MUST pay into

2020-03-22 17:21:54 UTC

execute Union leaders?

2020-03-22 17:22:00 UTC

And so is car insurance

2020-03-22 17:22:06 UTC

???

2020-03-22 17:22:08 UTC

But its there when you do need it

2020-03-22 17:22:09 UTC

execute insurance agents?

2020-03-22 17:22:17 UTC

You can just unionize if you need to

2020-03-22 17:22:25 UTC

Car insurance isn't there for you btw

2020-03-22 17:22:26 UTC

Just because it isn't functional 100% of the time

2020-03-22 17:22:26 UTC

Unions do not need to continuously exist

2020-03-22 17:22:30 UTC

@Louis Carlos Fer Unions are necessary. Because in a conflict between your average employee and your average employer, the employer has vastly bigger and more costly legal resources to draw aid from that the employee does not.

So it opens up for employers to essentially bully employees into submission, even when the employer is in the wrong/has violated the labour code.

2020-03-22 17:22:30 UTC

It's there for if you hit someone

2020-03-22 17:22:31 UTC

unionize executioners?

2020-03-22 17:22:35 UTC

So you can pay their bills

2020-03-22 17:22:39 UTC

Not the other way around

2020-03-22 17:22:49 UTC

@Seven Proxies thus they can unionize when problems arise

2020-03-22 17:22:54 UTC

Rather than eternally pay into the system

2020-03-22 17:23:15 UTC

Unions are definitely a necessary concept, they are not needed to continuously exist forever

2020-03-22 17:23:22 UTC

Organize a non paying group lol

2020-03-22 17:23:33 UTC

Anyone against unions is basically saying they 100% trust a corporation to look out for their interests in an argument against the corporation, ok then, let me know how well that works out for you, haha.

2020-03-22 17:23:41 UTC

Ok communist

2020-03-22 17:23:43 UTC

Nice strawman

2020-03-22 17:24:00 UTC

Without unions the employer can always go: "Oh you think I violated the labour code or your rights? Well I suppose you can just sue me in civil court then. I'll bring my team of expensive ivy league lawyers to defend me.

What's that? You can't even afford a lawyer? Well that's too bad, cupcake. I guess I can just continue stampeding over your rights and protections unimpeded then since you won't be able to afford a trial?" 😛

2020-03-22 17:24:01 UTC

Anyone who is for unions is basically saying they are 100% in favor of workers owning the means of production

2020-03-22 17:24:07 UTC

See how that's stupid?

2020-03-22 17:24:10 UTC

don't mind luci, she's retarded
