Even a domestjc misdemeanor, no more pew rights

2020-02-24 18:58:22 UTC

I know. Thats why I said for the most part

2020-02-24 18:58:24 UTC

2020-02-24 18:58:31 UTC

I know my legalese

2020-02-24 18:58:38 UTC

Lol

2020-02-24 18:59:02 UTC

But yeah, a felony i lose my job, my schooling, and can lose rights to my daughtet

2020-02-24 18:59:07 UTC

Almost went "dint recite the ancient magics to me, I was there when it was written"

2020-02-24 18:59:17 UTC

(I have a daughter with a different woman)

2020-02-24 19:00:35 UTC

What state is this all goin' on in?

2020-02-24 19:00:41 UTC

IN

2020-02-24 19:01:28 UTC

So - again not an expert - something to keep in mind are whether you could theoretically get your rights back in the future if you are a felon, and also the legal gray area that is blackpowder firearms.

2020-02-24 19:02:59 UTC

According to some sources I've listened to, it is possible for felons to legally carry/own/use blackpowder firearms. Don't take my word for it but I think some parts of that may be valid.

2020-02-24 19:03:23 UTC

I've thought about it as a backup plan to "what if I caught a bullshit felony?"

2020-02-24 19:03:35 UTC

Ive resesrched it ALOT actuslly

2020-02-24 19:03:55 UTC

If i did black powder it would be strickly at my own home, as a defense, life or death only

2020-02-24 19:04:09 UTC

Any other situation is way too much gray area to fuck with

2020-02-24 19:04:18 UTC

Mhmm

2020-02-24 19:04:30 UTC

Ill carry my work knife for protection in othet places

2020-02-24 19:04:45 UTC

Thats what ive done foe the last few years

2020-02-24 19:05:02 UTC

Cause you knkw, my carry permit is invalid now

2020-02-24 19:05:57 UTC

For "felony arrest", no even conviction

2020-02-24 19:06:10 UTC

Also cant pass a background check

2020-02-24 19:06:22 UTC

I would at least ask a competent lawyer, I'd hate for you to be unable to defend yourself and a possible victim if it's legally possible for you to do so.

2020-02-24 19:06:22 UTC

Innocent until.proven guilty huh

2020-02-24 19:06:39 UTC

Yeah

2020-02-24 19:06:47 UTC

Its some BS my guy

2020-02-24 19:06:59 UTC

I mean speaking of blackpowder firearms... it's not a trick the jedi would teach you but those can often ship directly to your home.

2020-02-24 19:07:10 UTC

I asked a local 2A lawyer he said i could use black powder but its a gray area and use it with the kniwledge jt could result in prisom time

2020-02-24 19:07:12 UTC

Suddenly background checks aren't an issue (for that)

2020-02-24 19:07:27 UTC

Even he sajd its a coinflip

2020-02-24 19:07:42 UTC

I kmow black powder ships rigjt to your door, rhats why i could use it for home defense

2020-02-24 19:07:51 UTC

I mean even in NY I was able to buy a black powder revolver without being 21 or having a pistol permit

2020-02-24 19:07:54 UTC

In public though? No i womt risk it

2020-02-24 19:08:20 UTC

Try using it as a defensive weapon in public tho lol

2020-02-24 19:08:42 UTC

Dude gave me a pound of black powder too and told me to have fun. Didn't charge tax either, It was a good day

2020-02-24 19:08:53 UTC

My grandpa taught me some martial arts and knife fighting, ill stivk w my knife until k get my permkt back

2020-02-24 19:08:58 UTC

I understand and respect that, but also just for your information a cannon is a blackpowder "firearm." If you loau I could always use an artilleryman

2020-02-24 19:09:19 UTC

Too much gray area for someome woth a oending gun charge already tbh

2020-02-24 19:09:33 UTC

I'll getcha an eyepatch and some rum

2020-02-24 19:09:37 UTC
