@INNYGMATYK Absolutely on board with the mentality, I just don't want to be one of those guys who buys the best premium shit but is overwhelmingly underprepared in every other way. I'm positive I'll jump on Hoplite when I have that ability to do so comfortably.

I'd just like to know if my stuff is temporarily sufficient in the meantime. I didn't think I was picking a bad brand or anything, but I have less experience in the matter.

The way I've been doing it the past 10 years is buy the super basic gear I thought/think I'll need, then slowly replace over time as money permits

that said - when it comes to buying plates / critical / life saving gear, it's obviously important to spend the bucks.
