for what reason was the Reichmark introduced if the Rentenmark was so successful?

The Rentenmark was managed by Hjalmar Schacht.

it was a currency voluntarely accepted by the people

I vaguely recognise the name Schacht

so at that time Germany had two separate currencies

oh that makes way more sense

the other one was the Reichsmark managed by (((Rudolf Havenstein)))

later on, Hjalmar Schacht became a supporter of Adolf Hitler, and served in Hitler's government as President of the Reichsbank (1933–1939)

BTW the Rentenmark notes were valid until 1948.
