You know what people mean when they say "ranting"

2019-01-03 09:02:53 UTC

so you're arguing that you meant it in a different way than the dictionary

2019-01-03 09:03:10 UTC

i don't really care if your definition differs

2019-01-03 09:03:18 UTC

you're wrong and also ironically sensitive

2019-01-03 09:03:19 UTC

I didn't say ranting, but I know you know what people mean colloquially by "ranting"

2019-01-03 09:03:33 UTC

nice try

2019-01-03 09:03:39 UTC

except it doesn't apply anymore

2019-01-03 09:03:59 UTC

this is where i ask what the fuck are you even disagreeing about

2019-01-03 09:04:03 UTC

and you can't say

2019-01-03 09:04:13 UTC

because you tried so hard to even counter me

2019-01-03 09:04:18 UTC

go on

2019-01-03 09:04:31 UTC

*scrolls up*

2019-01-03 09:04:58 UTC

*is tempted to copy+paste something*

2019-01-03 09:05:13 UTC

Shit, don't point you finger guns at me. I don't wanna get zinged because people aren't using the textbook definition of a word according to merriam webster. This one definition is more in line with what people meant by ranting

2019-01-03 09:05:31 UTC

Rave being a synonym

2019-01-03 09:05:36 UTC

you got that from synonyms website?

2019-01-03 09:05:42 UTC

i used a dictionary

2019-01-03 09:05:47 UTC

but hey

2019-01-03 09:05:50 UTC

this one suits you better

2019-01-03 09:06:00 UTC

i don't deny being angry or passionate

2019-01-03 09:06:03 UTC

what is your fucking pint

2019-01-03 09:06:06 UTC

point*

2019-01-03 09:06:23 UTC

you just do not llike me

2019-01-03 09:06:45 UTC

i would respect you more if you just said that

2019-01-03 09:07:01 UTC

Yes that's my point. There are different definitions that people use. Merriam Webster says one, and dictionary.com says another. When people sue the word "rant" in common parlance they are typically referring to something aggressive, not excited or passionate.

2019-01-03 09:07:19 UTC

are we debating definitions today?

2019-01-03 09:07:22 UTC

so you are against aggression?

2019-01-03 09:07:45 UTC

yet i am called a cuck

2019-01-03 09:08:03 UTC

I never made a case for or against anything. I'm saying you are ignoring the context how some words are used colloquially and how that might differ fro mone official dictionary

2019-01-03 09:08:03 UTC

"i am the tough guy but he is being mean"

2019-01-03 09:08:05 UTC

Wtf are you on

2019-01-03 09:08:20 UTC

what

2019-01-03 09:08:32 UTC

i'm on uppers, downers

2019-01-03 09:08:37 UTC

normally, I think of a rant as like a long-winded monologue about a subject

2019-01-03 09:08:48 UTC

point is

2019-01-03 09:09:00 UTC

his argument is that i was ranting just because i cared about what i was saying

2019-01-03 09:09:03 UTC

and that is not an argument

2019-01-03 09:09:09 UTC

yes i am passionate

2019-01-03 09:09:12 UTC

what does that mean

2019-01-03 09:09:17 UTC

what the fuck do you have to say otherwise
