problem is in that same scene, or immediately after, Banner clarifies that usually he and the Hulk usually "each have a hand on the wheel"
and that the two years on Sakaar are an anomaly where Hulk "locked banner in the trunk"
At the end of Ragnarok he voluntarily changes again, which means that he should be sharing the wheel with Hulk again, and would therefore be able to remember the fight
