When I got into FFXI it was dying out

that was like 7 years ago

mhm over 10mill players world wide

I loved how there was no fast-travel

it took a long time to just run to an area

it was more immersive ironically

more fulfilling

the no lifing aspects of it though cannot fit in my current schedule

that too

the group requirements, the xp loss, the nightmare mob farming

seeing as I have only a few hours per day to play games now

yeah...

war frame even puts that to a limit, damn grindy game

yea war frame is super grindy

tho all mmo's are

not as bad as guild war 2... holy fuck guild war 2 grind

as a ex-player yea no kidding

especially trying to craft anything holiday themed

ironically guild wars 2 was only fun due to the grind

when i got to a high level i quit

it becomes a dungeon-grind for elite gear and you only find cynical cunt teenagers

no thanks

by grind I mean stuff like farming the halloween events 15-18 hours a day every day for the event and still only have like 1/100th of the currency needed to make the items drop from the event. Got to be an extreme power player for all that

I only had ever had fun in MMOs leveling up. Not sitting around at max level, ever

in guild wars 2 the bat shoulders were a holloween cosmetic shoulder piece. A single ingredient to make that was worth almost $50, or over a little over 3600 of their premium gems and it needed like 6 items

the drop rate of it in game was beyond fucking crazy low
