It's not just Peterson

2019-01-20 04:39:29 UTC

Haidt has been saying this for way longer

2019-01-20 04:39:41 UTC

But he's not as charismatic

2019-01-20 04:39:49 UTC

And has nowhere near the following

2019-01-20 04:40:09 UTC

I'm not saying he was the first to do it, but he was the first I've heard of it.

2019-01-20 04:40:15 UTC

But Peterson has been promoting his stuff, so I hope more people listen to haidt

2019-01-20 04:40:29 UTC

@Abel i think Haidt does it more at a acedemic and scientific level with jis tests and all

2019-01-20 04:40:42 UTC

Yes, that's why he's not popular

2019-01-20 04:40:50 UTC

Yeah Peterson references all sorts of great authors in his lectures.

2019-01-20 04:40:59 UTC

I've learned about so many great books from that dude

2019-01-20 04:40:59 UTC

sup goyims

2019-01-20 04:41:14 UTC

2019-01-20 04:42:08 UTC

@.Not Sean and authors that highschoolers should be reading to get abetter understanding of how bad human being are if i understood that back in school i wouldnt have been a self centered nihilist or somthing like that

2019-01-20 04:42:27 UTC

Eh, I think a stage of nihilism is good for people

2019-01-20 04:42:30 UTC

As long as you outgrow it

2019-01-20 04:42:39 UTC

The problem is when you're stuck there

2019-01-20 04:42:51 UTC

Haidt: "I have three studies, which have samples of over hundred thousand people. I asked them these questions and they said this. From this data we can infer that..."
Peterson: "Multiple studies SHOWS that you can find REAL MEANING from these books! Over a STANDARD DEVIATION!"

2019-01-20 04:43:06 UTC

@.Not Sean ya it might be a stage more

2019-01-20 04:43:33 UTC

Also I found Dostoevsky through Peterson. Incredible author

2019-01-20 04:43:43 UTC

I've found most of my mental strength comes from growing out of nihilism

2019-01-20 04:43:44 UTC

But his books as dense af

2019-01-20 04:44:03 UTC

I found Dostoevsky through Weev

2019-01-20 04:44:20 UTC

But didn't Peterson do a read over on one of his books?

2019-01-20 04:44:45 UTC

@.Not Sean really oh you read Dostoevsky i read mans search for meaning dude thats a insightful book!!

2019-01-20 04:44:49 UTC
2019-01-20 04:46:39 UTC

Yeah I've only read 2 books by him though

2019-01-20 04:46:41 UTC

@.Not Sean Victor Frankel recognized as a phsycologist that the Nazi camps not only had a physical tormentive process but a phsycological process of stages to bring the victoms into a sense of extreme nihilism and despair.

2019-01-20 04:46:50 UTC

Woah

2019-01-20 04:47:01 UTC

which did most of them in

2019-01-20 04:49:33 UTC

made me realized that the nazis werent as dumb and camps were much darker. They ultimatley relied on the prisnors themseles to give up on their existence in which they'll either give up. or they'll do whatever they can to survive which in the end became too much to bear on them thus after being freed commited suicide afterwards which was jarring to find out!!! @.Not Sean

2019-01-20 04:50:06 UTC
