yep but you call something nothing
We are literally using a name to refer to nothingness
Hawaiian Juche FTW! 👌
Fuck
go into interstellar space where the number of atoms per cubic centimeter can go as low as 0.1, that's the closest thing to naturally ocuring nothingness
even if wee agree on a definition of something and nothing
Anyone who says nothing is something because we have a name for it is so fucked
No offensr
i could only agree that something cant come from nothing in this universe
They are two different things man
A name and a thing
A name and matter
I cant
Here's the thing, I accept big bang because it is the hypothesis that matches the closest with the verified models in current science
so could the big bang inadvertanly be proof of a form of creationism then?
If there's an alternate theory that does so better, I'd be willing to accept it
You know
i have debated a lot the kalam
so yeah i pretty much know what you are going for
Dunno
Phylosofy i guess
We're trying to tolerate creationist arguments from a decade ago, yes
anyway i think nothing is impossible tho absolute nothing
even if you have a void, the void its not nothing
Characterising it as "Something came from nothing" is like saying Evolution is "Monkeys became humans"
Not really
we know the second is false
we dont know anything from the first one
*something can't come from nothing, but my god can durr durrrr*
is that the debate ?
But it's a purposeful reductionist mischaracterising of the big bang theory
he didnt said anything about god
so yeah dont strawman him
one of the most convincing models is that the big bang is a recurring event, through heat death time as a dimension becomes null, and thus no matter how spread out space was it gets reduced to a single point, then it expands again and so on
i do preffer the multiverse theory tho
i prefer theories that can be mathematically tested
you can test the end and the begining of the recurring model tho?
yes
im pretty sure math breaks at some point
