its not really about seeing the letters easier its how fast you read it

why STOP signs are in caps then?

it was more to do with reading signs on the highway

where you're going 70mph so obviously you want to read faster

if you're at a stop sign you're probably not going very fast and have plenty of time to stop and read it

you wont focus on reading huge essays of signs

you'll focus on mirriors and road

and cars

there are no huge essays

its the places on the signs telling you where to go
