where you run around gathering materials killing zombies in a city building and it resets every hour

I wish I had a copy of the map, I put a lot of time into that map for building, ez 400-500 hours of just map creation

I joined a zombie server where you could kill zombies and level up and build a base and fucking destroy them

We had some build zones on the map where normal players could build

resulted in some...weird things, losts of penises, lots of swastikas, lots of things where you could hit the zombies and grind xp but not be hit

so we had to add the ability to let zombies break blocks

because the zombies could break the *actual* map not just the player build areas

ye know i never really understood why they left mc in java after it went big

thank fuck we took a backup a day before we done the zombies could break blocks change. Legit when me and foob went on the next morning there was zombies just destroying ***everything***. Main city looked like cheese, dungeons had zombies just breaking blocks to get to players

I tried recreating Zeal, a flying city from Chrono Trigger, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get the dirt under the landmasses to not look like absolute shit

Is there an easier way to go about that sorta thing?

Ehh, probably wasn't shitty so much as boring

Basically I generated a hemisphere of grass/dirt then tried to chisel away at the dirt below

Best bet would probably be to mix materials, either randomly or in layers for the underside

I'm getting the impression that it was just the underside didn't compare at all to what was happening on the platform itself

It being a flying city and all

Give the underside more to look at than just dirt, and it might look better

Hmm. Yeah, never occurred to me to layer materials. Make it look like proper strata mightve helped
