If I see a light in the sky I cannot prove what it's from

I cannot apply the scientific method

I can only make the observation and develop hypotheses

I cannot prove the moon is a solid object for example

I see a light in the sky

You see that light goes around it and lights it, so it must be solid

Ever see an eclipse?

And get a telescope you can see satalites then

that is pretty much proof in itself

actually if you talk to a professional artist about what the moon should look like if illuminated by the sun, you get a different picture

I can't think of any experiment I can do to prove they are solid objects. that's my point

Make a spaceship and go there yourself would be one way

same for satellites

so all I can say as a scientist is that I observe a light in the sky

Um well heres the thing with satalites

They're built on the ground

So you know they're solid

Because they're made out of metal and powered by solar pannels

but if I see a light in the sky I can't prove it's the same object that was built on the ground
