the sun circles the *actual* equator
I do
I don’t understand
how is that the 'centre' then?
Is the hottest point a line across the flat earth
The center
Or
the hottest point is the equator. just as it is on the globe model.
So a line across
because the sun circles above it
The 'centre' is the North Pole, in the 'centre' of the image, the equator is the middle of the spiral the sun makes.
the equator is a circle on that map.
think of the flat earth like a monopole with the north pole at the center
North Pole in the center of the spiral too?
no, as it doesnt move
Where’s it
got it, the centre, the sun spirals above, the earth is stationary
So the equator is in the center
Sun spins around it
??
I am trying to understand
the sun is moving above our heads in a spiral pattern, the earths stationary
I’m only asking where’s the equator
The center!
Center?*
there it is
Is it that circle??
Gray circle
yes, the gray circle. it's the same equator on globe earth...
Ok so if that’s the equator
The middle and far outside is coldest?
the sun is close, using basic trig, an not adding in assumptions, so the heat is cooler until right over your head, then cooler again as the sun moves away
You do know how light is bend by the atmosphere right?
