not going to send you my thesis title πŸ™‚

@Flat Earth PhD I wanted to revisit gas introduced to a vacuum chamber because I'm having a hard time with your answer: You say that any amount of gas, no matter how small, fills the chamber completely? It doesn't make sense. If the gas isn't dense enough, it should collect on the bottom of the chamber. :/

2019-11-27 17:47:57 UTC

what was your research on

2019-11-27 17:48:34 UTC

no. gases expand to fill their container

2019-11-27 17:48:47 UTC

that's what disinguishes gases from solids or liquids

2019-11-27 17:48:48 UTC

Now what if the vacuum had no gravity

2019-11-27 17:48:58 UTC

I got some readin' to do!

2019-11-27 17:49:00 UTC

it doesn't matter. they behave this way regardless

2019-11-27 17:49:19 UTC

gases always expand to fill their container

2019-11-27 17:49:19 UTC

Sorry but me needs to study for my chemistry test XD

2019-11-27 17:49:23 UTC

Gtg

2019-11-27 17:49:27 UTC

lol

2019-11-27 17:49:34 UTC

Ironically lol

2019-11-27 17:49:37 UTC

I thought you had that yesterday?

2019-11-27 17:49:42 UTC

that's what you said...

2019-11-27 17:49:44 UTC

It's today

2019-11-27 17:49:47 UTC

Hmmm

2019-11-27 17:49:48 UTC

ah ok

2019-11-27 17:49:51 UTC

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2019-11-27 17:49:56 UTC

I was studying for it yesterday

2019-11-27 17:49:59 UTC

if in doubt, pick C !!!!!!

2019-11-27 17:50:02 UTC

THK yuuu

2019-11-27 17:50:09 UTC

Lol I will remember that XD

statistics....

2019-11-27 17:50:20 UTC

Ok so the atmosphere of a globe earth covers the earth

2019-11-27 17:50:45 UTC

"Gas is a state of matter that has no fixed shape and no fixed volume. Gases have lower density than other states of matter, such as solids and liquids. There is a great deal of empty space between particles, which have a lot of kinetic energy. The particles move very fast and collide into one another, causing them to diffuse, or spread out, until they are evenly distributed throughout the volume of the container. "

2019-11-27 17:50:52 UTC

It’s not constantly filled with breathable air

2019-11-27 17:50:59 UTC

"evenly distributed throughout the volume of the container"

2019-11-27 17:51:09 UTC

It thins the higher you go

2019-11-27 17:51:42 UTC

right. has been a fun chat! I need to run. might be back later. it's dinner time

2019-11-27 17:51:48 UTC

I may be totally wrong on this, then.

2019-11-27 17:51:49 UTC
