We do
Objects with mass create gravitational fields
You fully understand gravity?
We can say how it works, we just don’t know why it exists or how it’s propagated
Gravitational fields cause ovjects to be attracted to eachother
You're right that nobody knows how gravity works on a fundamental level though.
no
Think magnets
not at all
They’re not attracted to each other
And the further objects the less the force
Newtonian gravity was superseded by Einstein's theory of gravity a while ago.
And the smaller the mass the less the force
It creates a distortion in spacetime. The object follows a straight path on a curve

Aight Idk Einstein’s theory
I assume the ^ was meant for me?
yup
Thx bb
I just know Newtonian physicis
"And the smaller the mass the less the force"
Yes under Newtonian physics
the distortion or curvature in spacetime affects an object's worldline
You can describe gravity as an apparent force, it’s easier as a shorthand
Einstein's theory explains that which Newtonian gravity cannot such as Mercury's peculiar orbit around the sun.
Yes
I simply don’t know it as well
Wait, what’s wrong with Mercury’s orbit assuming Newtonian physics?
So how bout climate change
The orbits of planets shift over time, and Mercury’s orbit shifted faster than Newton predicted.
Mercury's orbit wasn't 100% accounted for under Newtonian physics.

K
Though my arguments always get ignored in the former, so I recommend civil debate
I think it had something to do with Mercury's proximity to the sun that wasn't accounted for and only noticed under general relativity.
Mercury's orbit doesn't behave according to Newtonian physics as it undergoes Apsidial precession.
Lol
Noice
Dinosaur earth? *That's a new one.*
