If I am in New York and I go east or west, FE says I'll hit an ice wall?

2019-12-21 11:54:37 UTC

that isnt a question

2019-12-21 11:54:52 UTC

but no it doesnt say that

2019-12-21 11:55:33 UTC

you need to go north or south to hit ice

2019-12-21 11:55:57 UTC

Sorry my english

2019-12-21 11:56:01 UTC

thats ok

2019-12-21 11:59:11 UTC

The common FE maps I see, shows an ice ring around the entire earth. So I was thinking if you go in any direction, NOrth south east west you should hit the wall. But on a globe it shows ice areas only on North and South Pole. So to prove FE could I be in New York and keep going east or west and circle around and never got ice?

2019-12-21 12:00:25 UTC

no, east and west are just at right angles to north

2019-12-21 12:04:53 UTC

Hmmm I don't understand, if something is flat, I should be able to go in any direction and hit the wall and test on globe

2019-12-21 12:05:07 UTC

I don't get it

2019-12-21 12:05:21 UTC

But will try to read more

2019-12-21 12:06:35 UTC

if you move north and continue in a straight line you go south as you pass over the north pole

2019-12-21 12:07:27 UTC

but you will never go south if you only go north, you will stop

2019-12-21 12:14:07 UTC

I don't get it. I look at a globe. I see NY. I can see if you go east or west you will never encounter ice.

2019-12-21 12:14:20 UTC

You can circle around without seeing ice

2019-12-21 12:15:44 UTC

no

2019-12-21 12:16:50 UTC

Hmmmm

2019-12-21 12:17:10 UTC

if you go at right angles to north from newyork you will hit ice on a globe

2019-12-21 12:18:45 UTC

Why you keep saying right angles

2019-12-21 12:19:03 UTC

Why can't I just keep going east, hit Europe then Asia...circle around

2019-12-21 12:19:59 UTC

what is the relationship between north and east on a compass?

2019-12-21 12:29:43 UTC

Hmmm. Ignorant

2019-12-21 12:30:03 UTC

I just don't get why on globe you can't cir let around it on equator for example

2019-12-21 12:30:12 UTC

And prove you will never see ice wall

2019-12-21 12:30:27 UTC

And globe people say that area is traveable

2019-12-21 12:30:35 UTC

So it could be a test
