I don't think the moon is a solid object

If it were, and if we landed there in 1969, it shouldnt even be a question

the moon would be a destination in Travelocity by 2020

yet there isn't even a camera there streaming Earth. or rovers. or telescopes. or lunar hotels/bases.....

many calendars where based on the cycle of the moon instead of the year
It's easier to just look at the moon and know what part of the cycle you are at
Instead of needing to guess based on the weather or use the stars

The moon does not have enough importance for people to travel to it continuously
