you have to make sure you're looking from the *exact* center.

2020-01-27 15:30:16 UTC

yes

2020-01-27 15:30:31 UTC

I would do that but I am at school so I can't access MS paint

Well, but you can take an image that points to the exact center, which is easy, and which is why i said its obvious, you said you took it to after effects, thats for video...

2020-01-27 15:31:52 UTC

it's tough to spot the exact center just by watching the vid

2020-01-27 15:32:21 UTC

Oh right

@Drewski4343 what was the time you took it from the video?

2020-01-27 15:34:25 UTC

1;33;58;27

2020-01-27 15:36:10 UTC

Imagine if now He Cute#7099 becomes a globe earther

2020-01-27 15:36:47 UTC

is it possible to do the same with another point where the sun isn't straight on top? because the center is brightly lit while it's hard to asses for the sides

2020-01-27 15:37:00 UTC

absolutely. Give me a time

2020-01-27 15:37:22 UTC

that's why I edited the levels so you can see past the glow

2020-01-27 15:38:03 UTC

You can already see how the light and shadows arent what makes it be curved

2020-01-27 15:39:40 UTC

it's hard to see the horizons side, it's so dark while the center is so bright

2020-01-27 15:42:09 UTC

I'll see if I can find another point that lines up

2020-01-27 15:43:17 UTC

if you find a time, let me know

no worries. not quite the center on that one, though.

2020-01-27 15:52:53 UTC

the red lines on mine are the exact center of the video composition.

2020-01-27 15:59:39 UTC

I don’t understand why people are trying to see curvature on the horizon, its very hard especially considering the effect of lenses

2020-01-27 16:00:24 UTC

We should just try to measure the angle between the horizon and a horizontal plane, if the earth is a globe it should be proportionnal to the square of the height and it should be zero if the earth is flat

2020-01-27 16:10:36 UTC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5kRyQStPhU this one should be more accurate with infrared

2020-01-27 16:15:50 UTC

You're totally right, liks, it's incredibly hard. Especially when you don't know the lens, FOV or focal length.

2020-01-27 16:16:06 UTC

It's mostly not worth entertaining.

2020-01-27 16:18:44 UTC

@He Cute I'll take a look at that one

2020-01-27 16:21:06 UTC

he produces cool videos, check this out if you got time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6kshaWFkOw

@He Cute Found a good frame here for the infrared vid. 1;51;19;00

So is this experiment, FECORE, like a flat earth bible or something?

fecore is a scientific expirement
