Why would the sun not burn us if it was that close

just to convey the general idea of how sun/moon work

yet this model does not work first of all if the sun is so highe up it should light up the entire planet

what do you mean? how high up is it?

and what is the light pattern?

and what is the actual heat flow?

and how do you explain that you somthimes see the sun and moon at the same time

we can see way too far, all laser tests fail to observe any curvature, water is always level
