no curve = no ball

obviously you can see a curve you do know how big the planet is right?

in just 10 miles you should have over 6 stories of hidden height due to curvature

but you can go to a flat surface like a lake since water always finds level

have someone go to a point 10 miles across

flash the sun w/ a mirror at you

and you'll see it w/ binoculars

there should be a 6 story building between you and the mirror
