I never said predicting eclipses was something for th globe model
I just said astronomy can do it
Astronomy works no matter the earth shape
Not the most useful thing tbh, but it works
Eclipses are a mere result of observing the celestial above us. It doesn’t matter what model underneath you put. Except if you want to prove it’s because of a ball earth, you’re going to never be able to prove it. Since flat earth is already provable,
I just said I wasn't talking about the shape at that point in time 👌
You’re in a fight you cannot win.
I... I just said I wasn't trying to prove ball earth....
I was trying to show that astronomy is a thing that works
Mainstream astronomy is based on a ball earth.
Even if astronomy was based on a flat earth I'd assume it would stay about the same
It’s identical.
So I see we agree here
It’s not even a matter of the shape of the earth. It’s a matter of what we observe above us.
Yea, sorry I was responding to a picture you posted, that basically said that astronomy was just "beliefs and whims"
My issue with mainstream astronomy, is that they try and say only a ball earth can produce what we observe.
It’s simply not true.
I mean the ways they explain how it works with the round earth works, but I'm not going to claim that's the only way
I would say that’s a healthy attitude.
👌 I try to keep in mind that there is always a possibility of a second answer.
Well, it's late for me so I have to head off. Cya later
wow
i haven't been here since
september
ok
no one asked
no one asked you to have an opinion
or input on anything
but here you are
so stfu
ok
Whoa..
You watch yourself now.
@Derek Nelson FIgure out yet how equatorial mounts work on a flat earth?
When equatorial mounts have a valid water level in them that isn’t slanted, be sure to let me know.
Jack ass.
Sorry, but there are a lot of messages going up here. I just want to make sure that I am in the right space.
Is this the right server for the earth not being a ball?
Maybe I am in the wrong place
