the horizon behind the oil rigs is not the geometric horizon. The geometric horizon (or, at least, the water where it would be) is in the foreground, in front of both platforms. The horizon in the image is where the refracted rays from the ocean can no longer reach the camera since they can't get over the curvature of the Earth any more. This is not the geometric horizon, so the entire video is rendered irrelevant.

Even at 35 and 56 feet the GEOMETRIC Horizon isnt observed, the horizon is way beyond where it should be on a glob model of 3959miles R
