Interpretations are to be considered valid if the interpreter is credible
Or if they make sense
@OrthoGoat What makes an interpreter credible?
Is "making sense" subjective, different things make sense to different peoples?
Seems like whoever can persuade the most people of their interpretation wins the game
Nah it's not subjective
It either follows logic or it dosent
Also simple of they have a history of studying theology then they are more credible
The truest interpretation of Christianity lies somewhere in between how the gnostics interpretted it and the literal instructions Jesus gave for his followers to follow
I know it's correct because I'm an occultist: if you interpret satanic or non Christian texts with a Christian perspective it opens the information up to you with new meaning
>>Interpretations are to be considered valid if the interpreter is credible
All words are lies trying to capture a truth beyond concepts @OrthoGoat
You need to ontologically and etymologically assess what a word means (especially in the original texts in their original language) to truly understand what the book is telling you
The highest truth with forever remain unspoken because the truth is god is the stillness of potential that we perceive as nothingness.
@ComradeChaos cringe take
I mean the Orthodox and Catholics are pretty cringe so
You may as well be a mason if you reject the concept of the love of charity or agape @OrthoGoat
Coping Protestant?
I don't have a denomination: I have a bible and a high verbal IQ.
Lol
So a crypto atheist
Nice
U don't worship him tho
Non denominational = belief but no works or way of worship
Jesus was against the concept of an officiated rabbinical or priestly class so...
I'm closer to an actual Christian than you are
Lol
Rabbinical
If you don't have interpreters of the Bible you'll get degenerates misintepreting the Bible. If you don't have a community you'll get degeneracy because the Bible won't reach people

Ok atheist mod I will do as the Guardian of Ukraine tells me to

@OrthoGoat I'm literally right though.
If you choose to reject the son of God and his message, that is your prerogative
mfw interpreting
priests are simply people who devote themselves in the study and worship of god
no one is claiming they are higher in anything besides knowledge and generally morality of their lifestyle
>>But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11The greatest among you will be your servant. 12For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
This is what we call cognitive dissonance.
yea what youre doing
maybe catholics reffer to priests as higher
Title implies rank which implies hierarchy
