I believe that the seat is vacant
That's heresy according to Catholic dogma is it not? You're denying the papacy as the mouth piece.
Again with the more assumptions lmao
You're assuming that I'm denying "papacy"
You did, even if you use linguistic magick to fool yourself into believing otherwise
No how about let me fucking explain instead of continually insisting the contrary?
No how about let me fucking explain instead of continually insisting the contrary?
Do i need to restate myself?
Sure, explain why you're not a heretic
Again with the assumptions
One more time you do this, I'm leaving the conversation kid
The catholic dogma asserts that a heretic cannot become a pope. Therefore, if someone who is THOUGHT OF to be a pope, is actually a heretic, he is not a pope
Therefore I'm not denying papacy, I'm denying an invalid claim to papacy
Don't lecture me on catholic dogma. I know this way more than you do
@ComradeChaos I disagree with the anarchist
There are multiple times in which the Bible cements some levels of authority
Such as parental authority
Authority of the elders in a community
So, don't lecture me on catholic dogma, thanks
It's a responsibility, not a title you can wear like a medal @Maksim
https://biblehub.com/1_peter/5-2.htm
We have a duty to lead people in our flock, not to lord over them
@ComradeChaos That is inheritly not anarchist tho
@Sentient23 I used t be a Catholic and I'm probably older than you
@Maksim To be a servant is different than being someone's master or hiding behind the title of an elder or "teacher"
That's part of what enabled the decay caused by the left.
When did I ever say that anyone hid behind titles that is completely irrelevant
The authority of parents and elders should not be ignored
And the Bible allows elders to guide the church
You shouldn't respect them because they are elders but because they show you they are full of wisdom
And because they are elders
Both.
I feel like the papacy flies in the face of everything Jesus wanted.
I'm not Catholic, I don't support the Pope.
But even still I feel like what you're saying is very ungrounded
>>“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11The greatest among you will be your servant. 12For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
I wish to be a servant of man and a shepherd of wolves
Are you taking this metaphorically or literally?
I'm talking symbolically. The passage is both metaphorical and literal
Guess I can't call my teacher a teacher?
