generally with being immoral
@Sentient23 Im talking about currently congregational vs singular
no point in being orthodox im not a stinky eastern euro
I used to be an Orthodox.
i'd rather be catholic that's much closer to my heritage
I became an Atheist 2-3 years ago.
@OrthoGoat No, not on a human level
Churches in general
@Koninos What made you become an atheist?
late atheist
F
Oof, many things.
have you ever considered the 1st law of thermodynamics?
It all started with doubt, ngl, and then defiance of the beliefs of the Bible. And the more I defied the bible, and viewed its teachings immoral and extremely outdated, the more I read about the bible, and Christianity, and religions in general. So I eventually became a Deist, then I became an Agnostic and then an Atheist.
So I'm not one of these Atheists who are like "lol I'm gay so I'm an atheist now"
:))
so you never had a biblical morality?
because to have such views of the bible, one must in essence not be biblical
I think that's a really silly reason to be an atheist to be honest
I used to have a biblical morality, but yet I just started finding this sort of morality, immoral.
so you stopped being biblical
but this dosent come from anywhere
I didn't give you the reason, I gave you the procedure.
@OrthoGoat no true scotsman
was there a particular event which triggered this?
No.
@Koninos So why do you believe there is no higher power or creator?
so its your essence
if one accepts the bible as his essence, then he will never doubt it
if one bases his morality on society
then this happens
im probably going to hell tbh
<:patchyy:622666061615202324>
were all going to purgatory
ah
thats better
Tbh I don't really have time to explain why right now, because I'd need to write out at least 10 paragraphs, and I got some studying to do today, but by tomorrow morning, I'll post these paragraphs and ping you here. @ComradeChaos
