was there a particular event which triggered this?
No.
@Koninos So why do you believe there is no higher power or creator?
so its your essence
if one accepts the bible as his essence, then he will never doubt it
if one bases his morality on society
then this happens
im probably going to hell tbh
<:patchyy:622666061615202324>
were all going to purgatory
ah
thats better
Tbh I don't really have time to explain why right now, because I'd need to write out at least 10 paragraphs, and I got some studying to do today, but by tomorrow morning, I'll post these paragraphs and ping you here. @ComradeChaos
i will plead with God to save mee

Because that question of yours can't be answered easily nor quickly.
@OrthoGoat Question, we enter purgatory because we arent clean when we die, yes?
@kappu forgiveness is for everyone, but punishment is still gonna happen, just fix yourself from now
i mean i dont do much sin
What would happen if you prayed for forgiveness (assuming youve been a lifelong christian) the moment before ur death
Wouldnt you die clean?
No.
Why not?
Rebellion against the father because you find his morality distasteful is not the same as him being fake
because you as a human have at some point betrayed god
the thesis is different from what you presented
dying clean dosent save you from punishment
I dont see in the Bible that that cant be cleansed with prayer
Yes. with prayer you can be forgiven
A catholic told me it was because we died without being clean
but forgiveness isnt acceptance
Point me in the bible where it talks about what you just said
genuinely curious
@ComradeChaos Again, that wasn't the reason I view him as fake, I was describing the procedure.
The procedure being something so awful mustn't be true, therefore I am motivated in my reasoning to find evidence for its falsehood
```1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.```
```Psalm 103:10-14 – He has not punished us as we deserve for all our sins, for his mercy toward those who fear and honor him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far away from us as the east is from the west. He is like a father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence him. For he knows we are but dust.```
first one explains that you can be forgiven
second one helps explain this further
''He has not punished us as we deserve for all our sins, for his mercy toward those who fear and honor him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth''
