There's a mod you can get (PC) called a Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW) which basically merges the games under Fallout NV's coding, so iron sights etc, and has some mod compatibility alongside (EVE, Interiors as to name a couple)

Terrible gunplay for starters, boring predictable questilines, overall it was just a drag

vats is there for laziness, but in the original games it was diffferent

The last 2 fallouts they tried changing up the formula and whilst 4 was OK (Good mechanics but a shit main story/MC) 76 basically killed the franchise

they were turn based, think it increased the critical chances or something
