Making things more expensive is devastating to the consumer buying the products that have tariffs on them

2018-08-02 13:29:46 UTC

Bush's steel tariffs lost 200,000 jobs for every job created

2018-08-02 13:29:58 UTC

If that's what you want, by all means go for it

2018-08-02 13:31:54 UTC

Bush's tariffs also made the American consumer pay an additional $200,000 to $2.3 million

2018-08-02 13:32:15 UTC

You have no idea what economic devastation is lol. You live in a first world paradise 😂
As I said, there is a cost to everything... But these tarrifs will help "lower class" workers by mass job creation.

2018-08-02 13:32:57 UTC

Tariffs 👏 Fail 👏 to 👏 achieve 👏 their 👏 policy 👏 aims

2018-08-02 13:33:02 UTC

2018-08-02 13:33:09 UTC

Smoot and Hawley learned it the hard way twit

2018-08-02 13:33:09 UTC

they are wildly successful

2018-08-02 13:33:14 UTC

Oh really?

2018-08-02 13:33:25 UTC

The Trump tariffs are winning

2018-08-02 13:33:36 UTC

Tell me whether or not the Smoot-Hawley tariffs expanded the US economy in the 20s

2018-08-02 13:33:46 UTC

Answer it

2018-08-02 13:33:54 UTC

2018-08-02 13:36:56 UTC

@IИVДLID CЯΞДΓIФИ When researching an issue that you have a ridiculous bias for or against. Don't look for stuff that supports your opinion. Don't look for stuff that denies it either. Read both sides and filter out the obvious lies.

2018-08-02 13:37:59 UTC

Im a big supporter of free trade. I obviously look for the lies in what protectionists spew.

2018-08-02 13:38:42 UTC

Me too. That doesn't justify your behavior though

2018-08-02 13:38:48 UTC

lol

2018-08-02 13:39:26 UTC

And what behavior is that? Does it violate the rules to fervently argue for what you believe in?

2018-08-02 13:39:40 UTC

I'm still saying the Trump tariff's have been effective. We have won concessions already, and hurt our foes and protected our domestic industries, created jobs, the market has approved of them. Only CNN disagrees. Consumers dont mind paying a few cents extra for their neighbors to have jobs

2018-08-02 13:40:33 UTC

The EU conceded not much except make a deal to continue talks and halt the on-going trade war Trump instigated lol

2018-08-02 13:41:00 UTC

do you hear what you said "halt on the trade war" that is what we wanted

2018-08-02 13:41:10 UTC

"protect our domestic industries" while ignoring the consumers being hit hard

2018-08-02 13:41:10 UTC

we pigeon holed them by using them
