Once gay marriage was legalized, it was a lot easier to take the conservative party seriously. I think that alone was putting off a lot of well meaning people (who are, frankly, single issue voters).

I do support the Transgender ban in the military ONLY cause they shouldn't spend all the military catering for their surgery

And the suicide rate among Transgenders are 40%
