it's like the flu shot... we are almost forced to get it or our lives are made hell

2019-02-12 04:34:02 UTC

at the hospital that is

2019-02-12 04:34:03 UTC

either murder is wrong or murder is wrong*

2019-02-12 04:34:05 UTC

and i dont want the flu shot

2019-02-12 04:34:14 UTC

Getting a flu shot is not the same as taking a life.

2019-02-12 04:34:24 UTC

There are significantly different moral implications

2019-02-12 04:34:27 UTC

^^^

2019-02-12 04:34:28 UTC

One is unpleasant, the other is murder

2019-02-12 04:34:54 UTC

it's still a decision i should be able to make without serious ramifications such as losing my license and job

2019-02-12 04:34:55 UTC

hey im all for vaccines. they are useful

2019-02-12 04:35:09 UTC

Yes, we agree. They shouldn't have had their job held over that decision

2019-02-12 04:35:23 UTC

i have rights. so why cant we fight for rights instead of laying down and quitting

2019-02-12 04:35:47 UTC

giant meteor 2020 lol

2019-02-12 04:37:21 UTC

because your "rights" do not transcend another human's right to live

2019-02-12 04:37:59 UTC

Jobs aren't rights, either

2019-02-12 04:38:04 UTC

yup

2019-02-12 04:38:06 UTC

2019-02-12 04:38:12 UTC

2019-02-12 04:38:17 UTC

night

2019-02-12 04:38:55 UTC

For real, this is awesome. Being able to discuss things without getting swamped with insults. Thank you guys

2019-02-12 04:39:12 UTC

do you think kids should get vaccines if they are in close contact with other kids?

2019-02-12 04:40:10 UTC

I don't know. I dislike that kids are subject to the judgement of their parents over medical issues.

2019-02-12 04:40:24 UTC

And that religion can be used as grounds to make unhealthy decisions for their health.

2019-02-12 04:40:32 UTC

Such as vaccination or blood donation.

2019-02-12 04:40:54 UTC

Should a parent be allowed to refuse a life saving blood transfusion for their child?

2019-02-12 04:41:18 UTC

no

2019-02-12 04:41:46 UTC

Should parents be allowed to refuse vaccination for fatal diseases?

2019-02-12 04:42:46 UTC

def not

2019-02-12 04:42:54 UTC

I think facilities in which children are not required to be vaccinated should inform all of the parents so a reasonable decision can be made.

2019-02-12 04:42:57 UTC

especially with measals making a comeback

2019-02-12 04:43:07 UTC

I can't believe it's measles!

2019-02-12 04:43:19 UTC

imagine telling your son that he wont be able to reproduce cause his testicles have swollen up

2019-02-12 04:44:42 UTC

But at least he doesn't have autism!

2019-02-12 04:44:44 UTC

bah

2019-02-12 04:44:45 UTC

These people

2019-02-12 04:45:32 UTC

ugh its pretty stupid

2019-02-12 04:45:59 UTC

as someone with a bio degree that can actually read academic research papers, it makes me want to bang my head against a wall

2019-02-12 04:46:13 UTC

like that dr was discredited so many times. come on

2019-02-12 04:48:02 UTC

A friend of mine told me recently that his daughter isn't vaccinated. She's 8. That poor girl. Never had a single vaccine. His reasoning? His first daughter was vaccinated and she gets sick a lot, so he doesn't want his youngest to get them.

I mean, there's tons of factors at play. They have different genetics, are exposed to different environments and children, etc. There are so many factors that would make the oldest get sick more often. But it's anecdotal experience that's shaping his opinion.

2019-02-12 04:48:11 UTC

That's awesome you have a bio degree.

2019-02-12 04:49:01 UTC

lol kids get sick so easy
