for their event in November

the unit says I'm supposed to be older before taking a musket out to field

Sounds pretty cool

but this next event is small enough for no one to notice my age

but the great thing about flag-bearer is I don't have to buy a $1000 rifle

well I'm almost 16 so yeah at my age I would've been shooting

but everyone else in the regiment is obviously older so it would look best for me to be flag-bearer

so the regiment captain was like "yeah you'd only have to flag-bearer for a little bit, don't worry"

but I was more excited about that than shooting

more people need to get into reenacting. The events are slowly losing numbers, and apparently new recruits are scared away by being accused of racism

anyone who loves history should spend like $150 of basic equipment and at least try it out, most regiments supply you with a borrowed gun and other items
