people have distrusted the media for a long time

2018-12-01 00:05:23 UTC

Not as much as post-2016

2018-12-01 00:05:33 UTC

although Trump brought a lot of attention to it

2018-12-01 00:05:38 UTC

which is a good thing

2018-12-01 00:05:38 UTC

That's true

2018-12-01 00:06:03 UTC

Just read one of the posts from the other text channels, are people actually starving themselves because they can't get across the border?

2018-12-01 00:06:09 UTC

Trump also brought a lot of influence to politics, which is also a good thing

2018-12-01 00:06:32 UTC

That's debatable

2018-12-01 00:06:45 UTC

The influential part or the good thing part

2018-12-01 00:06:55 UTC

The good thing part

2018-12-01 00:07:11 UTC

Well making more people get into politics with our country is a good thing

2018-12-01 00:07:16 UTC

it is our duty as Americans

2018-12-01 00:07:37 UTC

But he did further divide democrats and republicans

2018-12-01 00:08:23 UTC

Lol if you want to talk about that later we can, but that's not related. He influenced people to get into politics - which is a good thing

2018-12-01 00:08:24 UTC

And created a "us vs them" mentality with immigrants

2018-12-01 00:08:37 UTC

From both sides actually

2018-12-01 00:09:31 UTC

Politics is important and we as Americans should be up to date with our country's government

2018-12-01 00:09:44 UTC

I agree with that

2018-12-01 00:10:30 UTC

My school never really cares about politics

2018-12-01 00:11:18 UTC

Which is a problem

2018-12-01 00:11:30 UTC

My school's very liberal.

2018-12-01 00:11:39 UTC

Unfortunately.

2018-12-01 00:11:43 UTC

Most are

2018-12-01 00:11:49 UTC

Younger people are more liberal

2018-12-01 00:11:53 UTC

It makes sense

2018-12-01 00:12:01 UTC

It's not normal for an Aussie school to be so into politics though.

2018-12-01 00:12:10 UTC

Millennials are, Gen Z luckily is leaning right

2018-12-01 00:12:10 UTC

The culture here doesn't really care about that stuff.

2018-12-01 00:12:18 UTC

You can thank Trump for that btw

2018-12-01 00:12:34 UTC

You can also thank trump for creating the earth

2018-12-01 00:12:56 UTC

The millennial generation has backfired, Gen Z has witnessed the problems of which the millennials cannot

2018-12-01 00:13:31 UTC

Generalizing generations is pointless

2018-12-01 00:15:02 UTC

I disagree, I'd say the 2016 election has had heavy influences on Gen Z. It makes sense, politics before are boring. Trump, admittedly, makes politics a lot more interesting than before. Which is not a bad thing

2018-12-01 00:15:21 UTC

Such a big thing happening as the 2016 election influenced many

2018-12-01 00:15:37 UTC

Most of Gen Z can't vote yet

2018-12-01 00:16:06 UTC

I'm aware

2018-12-01 00:16:48 UTC

But when they do...

2018-12-01 00:17:44 UTC

many gen z were brainwashed by the media

2018-12-01 00:17:52 UTC

Big influences, the millennial generation is what is holding the DNC together. The next generation can have the exact same effects

2018-12-01 00:18:10 UTC

I am Gen Z and supposedly Gen Z is one of the most conservative generations in years

2018-12-01 00:18:21 UTC

not sure bout that
