The side thing about that statement is while now I consider myself very conservative, before 2016 I was independent and picked no side. But because of the way the left has acted and the way the party is going I felt like I had to go to the right.
Oh nice
I read a comment earlier on how Trump has lost a majority of his voter base because he "caved" in
although I see a lot of comments from the actual Trump supporting userbase, the only difference is they've come to the realization on who exactly Trump is
they've had doubts on him before only to find themselves feel very stupid when Trump stands on top
Nah he isn't losing support. People who love Trump are always going to love him, and people who hate him are always going to hate him.
quite so
when Trump's 2 terms end, it's going to be one hell of a thing for our future generations to read about in contemporary history class
they'll be saying the same thing us patriots have said and are still saying "the madman pulled it off, absolute madman!"
if anything, Trump's base has only gained after seeing the hypocrisy of the Democrats during the shutdown. 2016 was memorable, 2020 is only going to get better
Actually yes I do think it was quite a smart move. The Democrats have 3 weeks to prove if they kept their word on Border Security and then Trump gets to hold the SOTU address
If the Democrats fail to keep their word, then Trump has other options. It's quite genius
4D underwater chess lmao
Commence for the stumping
But at the cost
If both sides can learn to compromise with each other then it’s a win. Until then it’s just a lose lose scenario for the people.
that will never happen
the Democrats won't ever compromise with Trump because at this point they don't care what he's trying to do or about the American people. They are just thinking about 2020.
Trump doesn’t need to be so forward either though. Especially with his word choice to quickly make enemies.
that's just how Trump is, he's not a career politician he's a business man. Therefore, he's going to act like one.
But I mean business wise? He isn’t the most credible in that department either
I’m not a Trump Hater, I’m just saying he isn’t making cautious moves
Yeah he is, he's had failed business ventures like every successful businessman. But his businesses overall have been very successful
Credible and successful are two different terms
You’re attacking a straw man with that comment
Well i'de say he's credible as well
I would disagree based on many false claims he made
When you make a claim that is false, credibility is affected negatively
That’s a general understanding of the definition
are you talking about his business credibility or character credibility?
Either one. He said he’s never had any of his businesses go bankrupt
No if you're talking about the statement he made during one of the GOP debates, he said he never went bankrupt.
But he did...
Trump has never gone bankrupt, some of his failed companies have. He does that to save as much money as possible when a business looks unprofitable.
But here’s the deal. When your name is the business, and the business fails (Your Name) went bankrupt
Yeah but the reason he does that is because he can file a business as bankrupt and save money if he deems the company unprofitable.
he even said himself that he has used the laws and system of the country to make himself more rich.
To say “Trump went bankrupt” isn’t wrong. Yes his businesses have fallen into bankruptcy means that “Trump (company) went bankrupt” regardless how tactical the decision was
But this is just a minor claim he made
He also stated that he was there “when the bombs fell on 7-11”
