I saw the video about Onision calling the police on Chris Hansen, and I was wondering about something. As a non-American, I'm not too familiar with how the police force works down there, but is it typical for the person at dispatch to take that long to send assistance? She was basically interviewing Onision and typing stuff on the computer. I know Chris Hansen wasn't likely to do anything violent, but if the person was actually being stalked and was legitimately in danger, wouldn't it be prudent to be quicker about it? Like I said, I'm not sure if that's typical or if it's just because the dispatcher could smell the whiff of BS in the air.
Usually as soon as you give someone your address and ask for police assistance they send someone
Ah, so I'm guessing Onision lost the dispatcher at "Chris Hansen is at my house?"
Even though... he actually was at his house.
If i'm not mistaken they send officers as soon as you say your adress and ask for them, then the operator keeps asking questions about the situation to brief the officers on the way
Ohhh.
That makes more sense.
I was just thinking, are these people really just... asking questions? But I guess multitasking is a thing.
Well yeah
If I was an officer I would like to have as many details about the situation before I get involved
That's fair. Well, I hope everything got resolved.
