And the swiss
When my roommate's girlfriend moved in, he refused to have her pay rent, insisting that I still pay half because they together only use up one bedroom, despite using up 2/3rds of the bathroom, kitchen, and storage room.
There's no need for min wage because everyone gets paid an allowance
Rent is not increased based on space
Another person uses ustilities
wut ther are allowances?
I insisted rent should be based on number of people.
where?
Costs more for power, water, sewer etc.
Causes more wear on all appliances
okay
Sorry two different convos
Plus, between the two of them, I swear that shower is in use 12 hours out of the day.
I would say she can pay or gtfo
Shower before work, shower when get home from work, shower before bed.
I take a lot of baths and showers and stuff. I pay whatever the extra is on the water bill as a result
Makes it fair
Our utilities are included in the rent, but I still feel like rent should be paid per person.
It should
Otherwise what benefit is there for her being there?
ofcourse
I even pay half the internet bill. 🤔
So you get to pay extra so she gets to be a freeloader couchhopper
I dunno. They're married now.
Idunno that sounds like a him problem
Did the rent increase when she came over?
By $100.
Because of her?
In all fairness, he's paying the $100 himself.
But 1/3 of our current rent would be $400, not including the extra $100. That would be a lot better than paying $600.
Considering my monthly food budget is only $100 CDN, or $75 USD. 😛
Idk if you're not paying more from her moving there I don't see too much of an issue
Well, she takes up more room. Has hour-long showers in a one-bathroom place.
The inconvenience is the problem.
yeah inconvenient
Gotta talk to her about it
I go to Walmart, come home with a bunch of stuff, and find they've already been to Walmart while I was gone and the fridge and freezer are completely full.
Ah, well. I'll be rich soon, and I'll buy a house somewhere. Somewhere far away. Like the other side of the city.
That's the spirit
