I just watched a video where a Canadian author was hauled in front of a police inquisition for releasing an anti-Trudeau book around election time.
Guy managed to sneak a camera and mic into the room.
While yes that is true Scythe, Canadian laws like those surrounding "hate" speech make it even more difficult for the "average Joe" to say anything remotely demeaning within any realm or medium without being subjected to an inquisition.
Personally, this is why I love the US 1st Amendment.
on the bright side, uk finally isn't as fucked in the head as canada
we told article 13 to fuck off
Pardon the language, but how the fuck do hate speech laws coexist with free speech? And I am pretty sure that some states do prosecute hate speech.
hate speech is whatever you want it to be
I feel like its less "whatever you want it to be" under a legal standing in america tho
Yeah no harassment isn't subjective
People just misuse the term
Yeah
it pretty much is subjective now
How do you figure lol
If I said, I hate *bundle of sticks*
Harasament doesn't need involve hate speech but hate speech can run the line into harassment
would you feel harassed?
Thats not harassment tho
That's not what harassment is literally
Its not a personal persistent attack
You aren't haggling me
Then it would legally fit the bill if I asked you to stop
but was referring to the food
And you continued contacting me
then some homo would cry harassment
idk ameritard laws are more set in stone
Thats literally not what harrassment is
over here a harassment charge is deadnaming a tranny
legit
We're tards but your laws are up to discretion lol
Where do u live
Europistan
But also thats why i said in america*
yea
Rip 2 u guys
Havin 2 step on eggshells n shit
Yea....."hate speech" laws are legally binding
literally lmao
Lol. UK.
