Rats are tough, they live so short and when they get sick it's usually just not really worth it to dump money on them to fix it when it will only give them another month..

He's been sick with pneumonia 3 times in 2 years

And he's always very resistant to treatment

We had a lot with bad genes since we had the one situation with an accidental breeding

I should've stuck with feeders tbh

We just kind of spoiled the fuck out of them until they were gone lol

Our feeders were pretty long lived tbh

The half wilds mostly died before 18 months old

That was my experience as well

The feeders lived like 2 or 3 years

I had a blind rat live to 4
