Dying internally? Why?

I started thinking about my chickens lol

I've been kind of bummed ever since tonight

When we got evicted we had to rehome them because we were homeless for awhile basically

I just feel really guilty still because they were our chickens, I know they are happy with where they are now but I still feel a lot of guilt

Coopless chickens. 😦

Half of them were over 7 years of age

Is that old for a chicken?

Pretty old, yeah

I just felt a bit of a pit going through the facebook of the people who took them for us and seeing them so well integrated

I am happy they're doing good but they were our chickens and I miss them a lot

They were extremely well socialized and liked to sit on our laps all the time

Oh well, though.

It's been well over a year now

Dunno why I started thinking about it

I still think about my dogs, and it's been a good 5 or so years since the last one was gone.

Random things can bring up the memories.

I think what was fucking with me the most is that they are still alive but I won't see them again

Part of me wishes that when we move finally, if we could ask to have any of the seniors that are still making it back...

They went to my sister's friend who has a massive chicken farm

But I think their family are attached to them now so we won't be asking probably

So instead I just went to the library and picked up study material
