I'm going next year

2017-03-05 02:08:52 UTC

But I would say probably no

2017-03-05 02:09:13 UTC

So you're in the charlotte area?

2017-03-05 02:09:14 UTC

We have a march here every other week

2017-03-05 02:09:19 UTC

UNC Charlotte is a fantastic school

2017-03-05 02:09:28 UTC

Heyo cubanbro

2017-03-05 02:09:34 UTC

Eyyyyyyyyyyyy

2017-03-05 02:09:35 UTC

🙌🏻

2017-03-05 02:10:00 UTC

Wait isn't that Simon Bolivar in your pic?

2017-03-05 02:10:16 UTC

Nah, that's my namesake.

2017-03-05 02:10:46 UTC

I was about to say

2017-03-05 02:10:52 UTC

Simon Bolivar came from a totally different era than Cortes, wouldn't have been in anything resembling the same dress.

2017-03-05 02:11:08 UTC

We're talking 3 centuries apart

2017-03-05 02:11:24 UTC

Anyway, what universities are you guys going to?

2017-03-05 02:13:26 UTC

Jerb for now

2017-03-05 02:14:02 UTC

I'm getting paid good money for an essential community service so I'm in no hurry

2017-03-05 02:14:28 UTC

Not gonna lie, college dropout here. It's fucking hilarious watching these liberal arts majors crash and burn. But in all seriousness we can't let these kids get the college codes.

2017-03-05 02:14:54 UTC

I want to study in the Eco-Biological field

2017-03-05 02:15:02 UTC

You're better off than they are

2017-03-05 02:15:08 UTC

I'm a dropout too

2017-03-05 02:15:49 UTC

Well, I did drop out of a college I attended for a semester (a really expensive top 50 private university). But I had no motivation to be there and just cut my losses and quit.

2017-03-05 02:16:40 UTC

I ended going back to school at my local community college, and now have an associate degree which I'll use to transfer to someplace like Rutgers. Much more economical, and I actually know what I'm doing now.

2017-03-05 02:17:26 UTC

See now I feel like a tard in front of people like you

2017-03-05 02:18:02 UTC

I had to look up Rutgers

2017-03-05 02:18:39 UTC

What's your chosen field?

2017-03-05 02:20:33 UTC

@Fokma(Bonjour) I have a friend who graduated from there a year ago

2017-03-05 02:22:17 UTC

Economics. I've always liked the field since taking college level economics courses in high school, and have connections in the business world to put my degree to good use.

2017-03-05 02:26:05 UTC

What I find bullshit about the whole college situation in this country is how secondary schools try to pigeonhole every single last kid into attending them, even though clearly not everyone has the aptitude or will to do so.

2017-03-05 02:26:10 UTC

I have another friend who is now a consultant in wells Fargo that studied in the economics. He now lives in an apartment in a downtown skyscraper.

2017-03-05 02:28:13 UTC

I'm going into biology

2017-03-05 02:29:15 UTC

Wells Fargo is kind of a dodgy bank. They recently got in hot water for getting caught opening up millions of customers' accounts without their permission. Still, sounds like your friend landed a pretty comfy job.

2017-03-05 02:29:16 UTC

In my case, honestly, I have to find where my aptitudes fit me best. I have ADHD and short term memory loss problems, which makes it a hassle for me to learn small shit like words, sources, and definitions, while still knowing the gist of the subject being explained. It fucks with me to this day.

2017-03-05 02:32:35 UTC

That case is complex since there are a lot people coming out blaming Wells Fargos pressuring sales culture as the cause of the fraud cases.

2017-03-05 02:35:20 UTC

The workers were pressured to making 7+ account deals a day with the threat of getting lambasted in the "consulting room" and getting fired.

2017-03-05 02:35:47 UTC

@EcoDIckmcgee We all have our weaknesses and disadvantages, man. You just need to find something that works for you. But take my advice when I say to not waste your time with something that doesn't.

2017-03-05 02:38:55 UTC

It fucks with me how in high school I graduated with pre-algebra, and started college in pre-cal after acing the assessment tests.

2017-03-05 02:40:24 UTC

And people who asked me for help got A' s

2017-03-05 02:42:05 UTC

Did you go to a public school? Those are fucked. Unless you get arbitrarily placed into high level classes your college prospects are significantly depressed.

2017-03-05 02:43:20 UTC

Yes and community college

2017-03-05 02:43:54 UTC

Community colleges are fine as long as they aren't your final destination.

2017-03-05 02:44:35 UTC

Not to sound harsh or anything.
