They often do controversial stuff
True
And we don't have to tell them the exact angle we'll be taking. XR
Just pick a few male topics
So I know this is a small thing in the scheme of it but I'm trying to talk with the r/rape mods to get r/mensrights removed off the blacklist.
@goodmod are you aware of the various brigades that sub may have suffered as a result of us? Is it all bullshit?
Mens Rights mods don't allow posts advocating brigading other subs... The admins would love to use that as an excuse to shut down /r/mensrights
Of course they don't.
But is there something that may have tangentially been related
We should just ignore that sub.
ATM I'm just trying to see if there's any room to apologize and move forward or if I'm just being lied to and nothing will change.
Well I've been on Reddit years and years personally and I never heard of anything about that. And apologise for what? Even if any users decided to go there and stir up trouble deliberately, it will only have been coincidence, and has nothing to do with the mensrights subreddit.
@GG Allin I dont think that's the case though. I want mras to be accepted. Not frustrated and scared of being pushed away from anyone
Ok not apologize but come up with ways to prevent any potential for it to be related to us. Because I know it isn't. But I'm not trying to convince us
I'm trying to find a middle ground
It being against the mensrights subs rules prevents the potential of being related to the sub
Anyone who would blame the sub for a user or two who posts there isn't thinking rationally
It's against the rules. But that's like saying creating new accounts is against the rules.
If you wanna smooth things over for some reason maybe goodmod would know what the situation was... (I know the question was directed at goodmod, hope you dint mind me interjecting) but honestly, as Allin said, I don't think it's worth the time
Only it's not, because a sub doesn't create new accounts. Users do. They aren't blaming the users but a sub itself
This was never going to be rational discussion. I knew that. And of course I don't mind you interjecting.
Maybe I'm just mildly autistic but I can't stand non rational discussions
My point is trying to at least understand their emotions. As a sub of course brigading isn't allowed but if it just so happened a bunch of Mensrights users made there way over there, all they have is their post histories to go on and it still makes us look bad.
@InsaneCaterpilla yeah. Emotions do suck.
Who'd want to brigade a rape sub anyway. It boggles me. Something must have happened or they're just out right lying.
Sorry if this is all a weird order. My internet is being flaky and sending things out of order
Np, I still remember what it was like being on dial up... Ugh. I get that you wanna make an effort mate, that's a great thing. Just seems like pissing in the wind xD but good luck
^
Cheers. I'm trying to stay cool. The first mod was ok. He's the mod of MenGetRapedToo. But this last message was from someone different with an overly bitchy tone of "who do you think you are. You're not even a mod"
They probably mean to say that they assume you are taking liberties that you don't have with that comment
Pretty much
Well I am but a mere mortal.
@James I'm guessing what happens is they get men's rights people over there just saying "but men get raped". Plus, probably trolls.
Hmm. Is there anything that can be done about this?
I'm guessing it's more of a cultural shift that's needed
You know. No biggie
What are they like over there if a man says he's been raped?
Do they delete it? Lock it? LEave it be?
No. Most are fine. They definitely get less traction but that's like anything on Reddit
But if you've ever posted in r/Mensrights it's an instaban by a bot
Wow.
