Our instructor was so bad dude
you should learn python
I should
I write crypto bots in it
However, I am still recovering from my Java PTSD
Our instructor didn't teach at all, he would draw shapes and lines on screen for 55 minutes and that was the lecture
thats java
He was trying to explain the thought process
which is understandable
but the delivery was terrible
The other instructors agree
We showed them our assignments
Winded up making a B in the class
Funny thing is
my first accounting teacher was a 90 year old dude that was old school and got fired for failing a girl that had a baby and only missed 4 days of class the semester
There was some asshole in that class that complained about everyone else being stupid (in a passive aggressive way, without outright saying it)
@Josh42A why was he still teaching at 90 years old?
idfk
The guy who kept doing that made a C and I got a better grade than him
but he would literally just summarize the textbook and yell at us for asking questions
In our Java class, the instructor made us do bookwork, but the book had nothing to do with the class
As in
He taught everything out of order, and it wasn't the same material anyway
his was way more in depth, wheras the book was pretty basic
no he should have taught you theroy with code
I taught my wife how to code then I teach her why you do each thing
He didn't do that
he was a retard
I don't know what he was thinking
I think around half of the people in his class last year failed
if not more
I know that was true for a class I had with him in spring
At some colleges that's normal, but not at this one
he stood out in the entire department
for his low pass rates
programming is easy thats why
its mostly basic math and grammar
u don't need college for that, you can do fine self-teaching it yourself with some help from a mentor
Being self taught anything would make it harder to find jobs id think
Trade schools take less time to graduate and teach you all the practical stuff you need
