I guess you can cripple the asrock to have similar heat
they're always behind nvidia one way or another
oh amd could get it right
but they segmented all these cards in thier respective corner of the market
deliberately
5500XT 8GB -> 5600XT crippled at 6GB
I was mega disappointed with polaris and vega debacle
-> 5700 8GB non XT
vega was a sort of flop because ram too expensive
its a good card but that poweruse
also we've been in this same fucking rendering powerrange for 10 fucking years now
you basic RX480 band of performance
its weird man
only with 5700 have they been coming out of that band a bit
yee, i want sometthing stronk... where is 5800xt or something
well I am happy with 5700 non xt performance
but I want it cheaper and cooler
that would be good for coming couple years
and a monitor upgrade to 1440p
the new xbox is gonna brng lots of optimization for rdna
they can get alot of percents there too
I'm tempted to just get a 5500XT8GB for 200 and call it a day
my rx460 has been acting up lately, think its electrically failing sometimes
on cold boots
wouldn't it make sense to just drive to snogard and get it there?
he's throwing some epic suggestions for amd
agreed about the artificial brackets of performance
but the lost performance isnt lost, you get lower temps and noise for it
which is highly valuable to gamers
with 5000 series the better oem cards run up to 60C without fans kicking in
this is very convenient
he made a big navi video which also looks interesting
I think alot of what hes seeing is also because of the complex design and all the autotuning amd cpus and gpus do
if you see a high voltage somewhere doesnt mean somethings wrong
alot of readouts are also hung
showing highest value
lol his radeon 7 is pulling 390W
apparently nvidia is scared enough about big navi
that they might try answer it with 7nm titan
