i can say being a technician is easy but it depends on the employer and previous technicians work ethic

I've worked on production machines that were streamlined for simplicity and other machines that were ratnests

I get to deal with companies the size of medium sized countries

With a lot of moving parts

all i did was educational IT, maintaining servers n shit for a district and managing the networks and all that jazz

Also, IT is easy to do poorly/lazily

it was a bunch of bullshit honestly, it was mostly blocking netflix for 20 minutes and counting how many retarded white girls came to the help desk demanding that it be unblocked

i never had to deal with much code

all of that shit was done by the state for the most part

the way it was setup was really fuckin weird

like each district has their own IT department which are admins of the local shit, but could login to their accounts in other districts because kentucky had that cool AD server setup in fuckin frankfort and it worked with all the districts

the higher ups in the state IT department could login to our shit and manage shit from frankfort or wherever
